Binod Chaudhary to stand up for CA election from Rupandehi
The CPN-UML has decided to field Binod Chaudhary from Rupandehi district for the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election. Chaudhary will stand up for election from constituency 1. The CPN-UML has so far recomended 32 candidates for First Past the Post (FPTP) and 60 candidates for proportional electoral system from the district.
The party has recommended Tialk Mahat from constituency number 2. Binod Chaudhary was also nominated by the party as a proportional representative in the previous CA. Chaudhary is the first Nepali citizen ranked in the Forbes Magazine’s Billionaire List.
Chaudhary has business holdings both in Nepal and overseas. He has invested in real estate and hotels in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Dubai and New York. The media had earlier speculated that Chaudhary would be recommended for CA candidate from Nawalparasi district.
