Six Robbers Made Public In Chitwan

23March Chitwan Police Arrested six people who robbed goods including jewelry of the bride and the groom from Fisling, Darechowk VDC-9 in the district last week.

Deepak Chandra Thapa,28, and Janak Shrestha,22, of the Bharatpur Municipality -10, Rupak Giri, 28, of Bharatpur Municipality-3, sangam Gurung, 20, of Chandi Bhanjyang VDC-8 and Birman Singh Praja alias Tara, 23, of Shaktikhor VDC-5 of Chitwan district and Gore Chepang, 24, of Bhumlichowk VDC-, Gorkha were made public by the police at a press conference on Sunday.

They were arrested from different places in Bharatpur on Friday. They had looted valuables from Surya BK and Ashiqi BK, the groom and bride who were travelling to Kathmandu from Gauriganj on March 12 at Fisling, Darechowk VDC- 9.

Police confiscated a gold chain, a ring, a bangle, two mobile sets, a camera and a country-made pistol loaded with two bullets. The police also seized two motorcycles from them.
